My unneutered dog has black spots on his scrotum, what could it be?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 3 years and 9 months old

Hi this has come from no where it is the second time it has happened but the first tim wit disappeared very quickly so we just assumed it was just a cut from being outside but it has came back again an I’m am getting worried I will be getting him neutered too help , but could you tell me what it could be as I’m very curious as I’ve never seen it in another dog before

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Oh goodness! I am not sure, you probably know better, if the black pigmented areas are normal on his scrotum. If not that looks like tissue necrosis from vasculitits, frost bite, burn, insect bite or self trauma (orchiditis). I would take Toby in to the Vet before the weekend. If he is licking then he needs to wear an E-collar to prevent continued self trauma. I wish you the best
