My 6 month old puppy has been having diharrea for the past two days. In the morning or when I come home she has had an accident and pooped on the floor do you have any idea what that could be from I have been feeding her cesars should I switch to dry or switch foods.

Hello. I would not change food just yet. Let's give his gut a bit of a rest first & go from there. Do not feed her anything for at least 12 hours. Water is OK, so an overnight fast is appropriate. Then thoroughly cook ground turkey & drain all the fat by placing the cooked turkey on paper towels to cool & drain. Mix the turkey with low fat cottage cheese or plain white rice ( 25% turkey & 75% rice or cott. cheese ). Feed a couple of tablespoons 3-4 times a day for the next 2 days. No treats, scraps or table food. If the diarrhea persists, take a stool sample into your vet for a parasite analysis, & if Luna refuses to eat or begins vomiting, also have her seen as soon as possible. If the diarrhea begins to clear, then slowly transition her back to her regular diet. Only if the diarrhea reappears would I start looking at other diets, but this may be best addressed by your veterinarian. Just make sure you stay away from all raw diets.
