Good day my dog has discoloration of his lip. It isn't a sore and it isn't raised. Is this normal. He is a Maltese yorkie cross. Thank you so much

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I wouldn't say it is normal but it likely isn't serious. It could be an abrasion from hitting/rubbing his lip on something, an insect bite, the start of an infection or an immune issue. If he isn't bothered by it I would watch it for a bit. If it goes away then it was likely trauma. If it gets wore or persists for more than 2 weeks I would have him seen by your Vet. Good luck!
