Kitten has loose stool, vomiting, less active. Should I see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 6 months and 1 day old

Hi my kitten has loose stool all the time and is a bit less active on certain days. He meows a lot while pooping or peeing. He also did vomit 2 or 3 times after eating but i think that was because he played rough after that. He is also always very hungry but his stool is very loose, muddy color. What should i do?

I would take Leo into a vet today to get checked out. There could be a number of reasons causing his diarrhea such as intestinal worms, a GI illness, a foreign body, change in diet, or eating something rotten. The cause needs to be diagnosed so he can be treated properly, and only a vet can diagnose the cause. It's concerning that he's less active at times, and that tells me the diarrhea is making him feel bad and lethargic. I strongly urge you to take him into a vet. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
