Can my 6-week-old puppy get vaccinated at Petco? Do I need an appointment?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 27 days old | 2 lbs

My puppy is turning 6 weeks old next Sunday and saw that Petco was having a vaccination clinic at that time also. I researched and saw that they can get distemper, parainfluenza, measles and bordetella vaccinations at six weeks old. Would I be able to bring a six week puppy in for vaccinations at Petco? Do I need to make an appointment or just show up?

You do not have to make an appointment, you can just show up. However since your puppy is so young, I strongly suggest you do not touch any other dogs, nor let anyone touch your puppy as there is always a possibility for your puppy to catch an infection, especially parvo. Bacteria and viruses can be transmitted by petting. Take her in, have her vaccinated, take her out and home. Here are are locations and times for Petco vaccination clinics as well as prices: https://www.vetcoclinics.com/services-and-clinics/vaccination-packages-and-prices/ https://www.vetcoclinics.com/services-and-clinics/clinic-locations-and-schedules/ I hope that helps.
