Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 6 days old | 4 lbs
I rescued a kitty who's 8 weeks old at the most. hes very skinny, but hes eating well. Eyes are healthy, no discharge. Gums are a white but no discharge or foul smell. No diarrhea or vomiting. Ive had him for 6 days and he has been doing well up until last night when i noticed flesh falling off his leg that hadnt been there before. ive been keeping a close eye on him and hes been isolated from other animals. The only thing wrong with him is bad anger issues. What could be wrong with this kitten?

If you are certain there was no swelling or pain prior to the wound opening, then you really need to get Cobra in to see a vet. He likely needs some oral antibiotics, and I"m worried about his immune system if this just occurred out of the blue. Please get him to a vet as soon as you can. In the meantime, put an e-collar on him and keep it clean. His "bad anger" issues are probably due in part to pain and discomfort. I suspect his disposition may change to more pleasant once this is taken care of. Thank you for asking Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!

This is an area of infection that was under the skin that has opened up. Cats get abscesses from fight and bite wounds or injuries. Once the infection is draining he should heal quickly. Clean the area with a warm damp cloth to remove the puss. You can apply a thin film of antibacterial ointment on it if you place him in a cone so he can’t lick. In a week or so this will heal and he’ll feel a lot better. I recommend a veterinary exam and testing for feline leukemia and AIDS, as well as vaccinations and deworming.
