My dog is panting, shaking, and clingy. Is this a sign of pain?

My dog has just started to pant really heavily and start to shake. She also won't leave me alone and has to be right next to me. Is this anything serious? Pet's info: Dog | Bichon Frise | Female | 7 years and 4 months old

These are very unspecific signs, however they would be typical of pain. So, if Lola has lately been stiffer than normal or finds it hard to get up, or does not want to climb stairs or jump up on a couch, there is reason to believe that Lola may be in pain. I suggest you schedule an appointment with your veterinarian for an exam.
