My dog's spay incision looks open 9 days after surgery, what to do?

A photo of the incision would help greatly in assessing the problem. If the incision looks opened you need to 1) keep your dog from licking it as she will open it even more. Best put on an e-collar. 2) take her to a veterinarian to have it resutured.

    Thank you for posting a photo. It does indeed look like the incision opened up. You will need to put an e-collar on your dog to keep her from licking the incision and opening it up further. Take her to your vet tomorrow for a recheck and having it closed up again.

    From the pictures, it could be that the incision is opening up a bit. I cannot say for sure without seeing Blue in person, so I would take her into the vet immediately. The vet can tell you if the incision is opening up, and close it if it is open. I hope this helps.
