Why does my dog have small, hard bumps lifting his fur?

I uploaded pictures although it’s difficult to see the bumps. They are small and hard, lifting up his fur slightly. Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | neutered | 1 year and 6 months old | 20 lbs

This could be caused by flea bites (and subsequent flea allergy), another type of allergy or a bacterial or fungal skin infection. I recommend you schedule an appointment with your veterinarian for an exam. Depending on the diagnosis your vet may want to prescribe an antibacterial/antifungal shampoo, prescription antibiotics, or ointment.
