My 4-year-old Labrador has a white layer in her eye. What should I do?

hiee i have lab 4yr old the problem is in her eyes...there was a light white layer in her eyes what should i do plz help me for this..

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Rancho! Can you post a picture of the eyes? It is hard to tell with out seeing a picture. Could it be that her 3rd eye lid membranes are elevated? That usually indicates pain. Causes of pain are: uveitis (inflammation inside of the eye) from trauma or systemic infection, glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye), corneal ulcers or dry eye. If his eyes seem painful: red, keeping them closed, green or yellow discharge he should be seen by a Vet today before the weekend. When it comes to eyes, regardless of the cause, it is best to have it addressed sooner than later. I wish Rancho the best!
