Why is my old dog suddenly having accidents and runny diarrhea?

12 year old lab chow mix unable to keep pee or poop in for same period of time as before. Now she has runny poo on the floor as she runs to the door. No worms found in poo. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 12 years and 1 month old | 75 lbs

Diarrhea can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. Even if no parasites are obviously observed in the feces, parasites can still be present. I recommend that you have Layla evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They may choose to check for parasites and to start medications for diarrhea depending on the results. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
