My 3-week-old chihuahua has seizures. Can CBD help before meds?

Pls help 3 week old chihuahua having seizers. She can’t her any meds until 8 to 12 weeks. Can I use cbd to help. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 25 days old | 1lb

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If Mila is having seizures, she will need to be on a anti seizure medication when she discontinues nursing. Many anti seizure medications have not been tested on nursing puppies and therefore are labeled to use with caution in these animals or just wait until they are a bit older. CBD oil has not yet been proven to help prevent seizures in dogs. Although giving CBD oil will not hurt, it may not necessarily help treat or prevent seizures in Mila's case.
