Why is my cat constantly itching his ears, causing cuts? What's wrong?

My cat has been itching his ears to the point he cut it. He sounds annoyed when he itches. I cant see anything that looks amiss but im no expert. First is his left ear, second is his right ear last is the cut

That is probably due to an otitis which could be caused commonly by an infection (bacterial or mites quite commonly) or to an allergy. If he is itchy in other spots of his body then this is probably due to an allergy, although it could also be infection or mites. First of all, in order to rule out skin parasites, you will need to treat with a high quality flea treatment, then ask the vet to perform a skin scrape - this might reveal an infection or a mite infestation. If all of those came back negative, the next step is to treat the allergy symptomatically and try to discover the cause of the allergy.
