My cat has lost a huge amount of weight she is eating like crazy she does everything normally litter box plays we cant avoid a vet is there something we can do to see if it diabetes or thyroid on our own? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 7 years and 11 months old | 6 lbs

No, you must take her to the vet ASAP in order to get checked and have a blood test done, there are many things it could be caused by, diabetes and hyperthyroidism are just 2 of them and both require diagnosis before they can be treated with prescription meds.
