My cat won't eat on medication. How can I safely increase appetite?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 6 years and 4 months old

My cat had urine tests that showed no other problem but phosphates and alkaline urine,7.5ph,he has prescribed some things,one of them is paste with content dl-methionin,which side effect is to decrease appetite,but he already has very poor appetite and I'm concerned to decrease it more,so i want to give him along with it something to increase his appetite, but couldn't find anything safe,please name everyhing you could think up that increase appetite and I will see if it's available here,thank u

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There are a few medications for appetite stimulation but my preferred ones are mirtazapine and Entyce. However, the best thing to improve appetite is to find out what is causing the appetite to be low and treat it.     Mirtazapine is an effective medication that can increase appetite in cats. Needs to be prescribed by your vet and must be given at correct dosages (your local vet will tell you that).
