My new dog is microchipped. How do I update the owner information?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 30 lbs

We have acquired a dog and he’s been chipped what would we need to do to change his owner info

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Congratulations on your new dog! I would take him to your regular veterinarian to have his number scanned. Once you have the microchip number, you can contact the company that makes it (HomeAgain, etc) to have the information updated to your contact information.

    Yes you sure can. Just call the company and you can quickly transfer everything into your name.
