My puppy is limping intermittently on her front paw. Call vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 23 days old | 15 lbs

Hello I noticed a few days ago Remi was limping I checked her over and then she started running around acting fine. But I notice she doesn’t always put wait on it. It being her left front paw. Just now me and my husband was checking her over and she didn’t wine or try to get away until we got closer to her paw part that she walks on. We don’t see anything in it. What do you think we should do?

I would call your veterinarian tomorrow morning. Especially being a puppy they can jump or run and hurt their legs and it may just be a soft tissue injury. If Remi is limping it is best to get her some anti-inflammatories for pain. Do not give anything over the counter since that can be toxic to her. I would let her rest until you can get her to the veterinarian. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
