Is it normal for my dog to only potty twice daily or hold it 12 hours?

Is it normal that my dog won't go outside to potty more often? Sometimes she goes 12hours without doing anything! I'll try to take her out and she'll just stand there and do nothing. Yesterday she went out at 730pm and wouldn't do anything again until 730 this morning... It's frustrating to me, but, is this normal for her not to want to do anything? She doesn't ask the entire day to go out the majority of the time. Our other male dog will always do something when i take him out. Thanks! Thank you for contacting Pet Coach with your concern about Ellie. Yes this is normal behavior, some dogs only need to go potty twice a day. Others like to go out more often. As long as she is going pee and poop at least once a day, she has no difficulty doing either, and the appearance of the pee and poop are normal, I would not be worried about it. Best of luck!
