My new puppy has worms in poop after deworming. What should I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 2 days old

I bought my pet just recently. As per the seller the pet was dewormed thrice and the latest was on July 19. Just two days ago I saw worms on his poop and last night as well.He is scheduled for his 2nd 5in1 vaccine. What to do?

Have your vet worm your puppy when you bring him in for his second round of vaccines and then worm him again 2-3 weeks later. This should kill off all worms and the ones that will hatch from their eggs. He should be wormed again at the age of 12-13 weeks and then every three months.
