My dogs ate a tub of butter. Will it cause them any serious harm?

Hi my 16 week old newfoundland pup and my 7 year old Shetland collie ate almost 250g tub of butter between them will it do them any harm

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This may result in gastrointestinal upset or pancreatitis though they may be just fine without any clinical symptoms. I highly recommend that you continue to monitor them closely for any signs consistent with gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting, inappetence and/or diarrhea and have them evaluated by a veterinarian if these are observed.
