Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed
My rescue dog Sally has been peeing in my house. She knows to go potty outside and is kept on a very strict potty schedule. When she goes in the house, it is normally either on her dog bed or on my husband's shoes. We set up a potty pad and she never goes on it. She also sneaks to do it. We clean it well with enzymatic cleaner to eliminate any traces of urine smell. What could be causing this, and how can we fix it? Thank you for your help.

This is most likely a behavioral problem but I would recommend having Sally examined by your veterinarian to make sure she does not have a urinary tract infection first. If a UTI is ruled out then the best thing you can do is deny access to the area Sally like to pee in. You also should reinititiate potty training so Sally does not have the opportunity to urinate anywhere except outside. Best of luck. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
