Hello. Acute renal failure/injury can result from many causes, such as infections ( leptospirosis ), toxicity ( antifreeze, grape & raisin ingestion ), blockages ( bladder/urethral stones ), metabolic ( high blood pressure ), & inflammation ( immune-mediated ). It is important to try & identify the cause of the problem, but if not, early & aggressive therapy can turn things around. I hope your pet is doing well soon.
