My puppy has diarrhea after dewormer but is active. Should I worry?

My puppy is 5 and half week old I gave him puppy wormer and today he’s had diarreah he’s been trying to eat drink and play still should I be worried

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sometimes dewormers cause an upset stomach leading to diarrhea or even vomiting. I would add a little rice or a small amount of canned pumpkin to his food. If the diarrhea doesn't improve in 1-2 day or if he stops eating or starts vomiting he should see a vet as he is very young.
