Is a wet or cold dog nose a sign of illness, fever, or being too cold?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 8 months old

I notice my dog nose is little wet and cold sometimes in a day it is warm and wet and when he sits in air condition his nose get cold and wet does this mean he is feeling too cold in ac or does it mean he is sick or going to be sick or going to have fever or cold flu ?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! In a healthy dog the wetness/dryness or temperature of the nose doesn't mean much of anything. It actually rarely means much in a sick animal, if hot it could indicate a fever otherwise it's an old wives tale. Have a good day!
