Is it wise to encourage my dog to be aggressive towards strangers?

Is it good to encourage a dog not to trust strangers and show aggression when unsure of someone

Hello, it really depends on what your goals are for your dog. If you want him to be a guard dog, then training him to be protective of his territory and your home/work/etc. would be helpful for his job. However, if he is going to be a family pet, you do not want to encourage him to be aggressive as he this could be dangerous for him and your family. If you're looking to have a guard dog, you should seek help from a training in order to make sure that he is trained adequately for his job. Hope this helps and best of luck.
