My puppy just pooped what looked like tapeworm. How to treat? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed

Hello. Thank you for using PetCoach. Tapeworms need a special dewormer in order to treat them. It is called praziquantel. I suggest you get her to one of the VETCO clinics put on by Petco stores as they can prescribe/dispense this medication for you. Sometimes people think they are seeing tapeworms but they are actually roundworms or hookworms and visa versa. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
