Hi I’ve been feeding my 7 month old boxer minced meat and white rice for the past 2 months and after asking a vet here ,I switched to giving him royal canin but he vomitted it out a couple of hours after I first gave it to him.Should I continue to feed him the dog food or go back to the raw diet?

Hello! You did right with switching the food! Raw diets are clinically linked to heart and gastrointestinal disease in dogs, and Royal Canin is an excellent diet. Many dogs have sensitive stomachs and a rapid change to a new food can upset them. I would recommend feeding his previous diet tomorrow and then slowly transitioning the food over one week by adding slightly more kibble every day. This gives his body time to adjust. I hope this is helpful!
