My dog has stubborn fleas. What's the best way to get rid of them?

My dachshund has fleas and nothing has worked on him to get rid of them. We have tried everything.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! You need contact your vet for flea preventions they carry. Over the counter medications do not work. You must also treat all pets in the home every 30 days for at least 3 months in a row. I would also pick up a house flea spray. Use the product in every room of the house and vacuum well after it dries. Throw out the bag (or clean the canister if bagless) because fleas can live inside. If you follow the above steps, you should be flea free in the next few months. Good luck!
