Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 13 days old
Hi. Is there any chance that my dog caught PARVO VIRUS? Since yesterday, my Dog's poop has been watery but I don't think it has any sign of blood. He is still lively, still playing with a lot of energy and eating very well. The only problem is the stool. He is fully vaccinated, and given food supplements on a daily basis. I can recall that 2 days ago he was playing with my neighbor's puppy and today, I just received the news that my neighbor's puppy was diagnosed with Parvo Virus.

Since Machie is fully vaccinated (i.e. got all three series of vaccines each given four weeks apart), then I would not be concerned that he has parvo. Now if he's only gotten one or two of the vaccines, then he won't be fully vaccinated and he's at risk of getting parvo from your neighbor's puppy because it's so contagious. There are other causes of diarrhea including intestinal parasite, GI illness, and eating something rotten, so I'd recommend having him seen by a vet. The vet can diagnose what is causing his diarrhea and how best to treat it. Best of luck.
