my dog is not eating and drinking but still alert and active. i may not afford the expenses in the vet. what home remedies can i do? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | 5 months and 30 days old

You can try different foods. I would stray with boiled chicken and rice. You can add chicken broth to his food to help or change his water for pedialyte or diluted Gatorade to help. Baby food or low fat yogurt is also safe to try If he does not eat then I would worry he has a parasite or an infection at which point you will need to see a vet
