How to stop my puppy from aggressively biting and nipping constantly?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 21 days old | 6 lbs

Austin sometimes gets agressive and bites very bad. How to handle it? Should i hit him?, ignore him? Ignoring isn’t possible because he follows you and bites your legs, climbs on the bed. What should i do when he is in that mood?

I would try to use either a water spray bottle and spray him while saying a firm no. You can also use a water bottle that is full of rock and shake it to make a loud noise. I would not hit him as this could make the aggression worse and also make him fearful. I also would get him into either some puppy classes once he is fully vaccinated or get a trainer to your house to help you train him and also help teach you how to show him dominance. I hope this helps!
