What is the probability of me contracting rabies? My dog kimba bit me 40 days ago. She sracthed her tooth on my finger. About 1cm and the skin broke. She is old (17) shedding and weak.i think she might be dying. *she is a house dog. She was vaccinated 8 years ago. * she has never been outside. *she hasnt been in contact without animals except our 2nd dog a chowchow.(vaccinated) *she was quaranteed 10 days after bite but still alive.But weak *ni drooling or aggresveness. *shedding.

Dogs who are actively infected and contagious in their saliva with Rabies virus will be dead within 10 days.
