Pet's info: Cat | Turkish Angora | Female | spayed | 11 months and 18 days old
I noticed my 10-month-old female cat digging in her litter box more than usual lately. Since then I noticed that she pees in small amounts. She also has not had any bowel movements in the past 10 hours. I switched her to to a new wet food (in hopes of better hydration) I've never given her before, which she vomited, Throughout the day she has been drinking and eating dry food, as well as playing. She has been peeing in slightly larger amounts. Should I take her to an emergency vet?

You shouldn’t need to take her in for an emergency visit tonight unless she is acting painful when trying to urinate or unless she is unable to pass any urine at all. I would however try to get her in to your regular veterinarian’s office tomorrow. I would be concerned that she has cystitis and/or possibly a urinary tract infection. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
