Why is my dog throwing up, hacking, shaking, and breathing funny?

My dog started throwing up and then started hacking and now she is shaking and breathing funny. Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | unspayed | 6 lbs

Vomit is a symptoms usually referred to a problem located in the gastrointestinal system. It can be secondary to a dietary indiscretion, an ingestion of something that Dutchess picked up during her walks. It could be caused by a stomach inflammation (gastritis) or if she is having soft feaces as well can be an upset of the whole gastrointestinal system. Vomit can also be a secondary to systemic diseases (i.e. renal failure). Monitor Dutchess, if she continues to vomit, start having diarrhea being inappetent, continue to have a funny breathing, shaking or showing any other symptoms, I recommend a consultation with your veterinarian for a full health check asap.
