Good day doctor, my 22 months old GSD seems to be doing very fine, she's active and shows no sign of sickness, but she vomited a couple of times today, she doesn't seem to be able to keep anything down. Is there anything I should be worried about?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your dog. If she cannot keep food or water down, this is worrisome. I am glad to hear that she is still acting normal. If she ingested anything she shouldn't have, it may have become lodged in her stomach or intestines. This will cause profuse vomiting. She could have also acquired a gastrointestinal infection or something in her diet may not be agreeing with her. If possible, she should be seen by a veterinarian. In the meantime, offer small frequent amounts of water to try to prevent dehydration. Do not give any food for 24 hours to rest her GI tract. This sometimes will resolve the vomiting. I hope this information helps!
