If it was milk chocolate fudge that Sisna ingested she should be fine, although eating any food that is high in fat could cause stomach upset. If it was dark chocolate fudge this would likely be a toxic amount of chocolate and you should seek emergency veterinary care to have a veterinarian induce vomiting and discuss further decontamination and monitoring. Chocolate has theobromine, caffeine and similar compounds that act as stimulants and cause muscle tremors, hyper-excitability, heart arrhythmias, and seizures at high doses. Treatment usually focuses on standard decontamination by inducing vomiting and giving activated charcoal, and IV fluids and symptomatic treatment.

It's difficult to give you a definitive answer regarding the toxicity level as i do not know which type of chocolate and how much of it was in the fudge, if it was a large quantity of dark chocolate toxicity levels could be high, but you have induced vomiting in time which is great. if your dog do not show any signs of toxicity in the next couple hours, he is probably going to be fine.

If you're certain that he vomited all of it back up, I would not expect to see any further problems - especially since it was such a small amount to begin with. Symptoms of chocolate toxicity in dogs normally include restlessness or hyperactivity, muscle tremors, and seizures at high doses. I would recommend keeping an eye on Pokey for the next 6-12 hours to be safe, but it's unlikely that you will see any serious problems :)

If she vomited that much she should be fine. I would feed her to get something in her stomach to get the rest of the chocolate to pass quickly and be diluted out. Chocolate toxicity causes hyperactivity and can result in seizures. Usually dogs need to eat solid chocolate with dark chocolate being worse to develop a toxicity. Hopefully Mamas vomited most of it up. Due to her small size if she shows clinical signs I would definitely take her in right away to be treated. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Mamas.
