My dog ate milk chocolate with caramel. He seems okay. What now?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 6 years and 3 months old | 27 lbs

My dog 26 lbs ate about total of 4-6oz of lindt lindor caramel with sea salt milk chocolate and salted pretzel. He's been acting okay.. Normal. What should I do?

Monitor him closely for vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness and hyperactivity and have him examined by a vet if you notice anything abnormal. Since it was milk chocolate with caramel, the toxicity is lower. You can use this toxicity meter to gauge the level of toxicity. http://veterinaryclinic.com/chocolate/calc.html

    Thanks for using PetCoach! I used PetMD’d chocolate toxicity caluculator and estimated 3-4oz milk chocolate (which may be an overestimation). It came up as mild-moderate signs. Long story short, you probably don’t have to do anything right this second, but if you see vomiting, diarrhea, pacing, trembling, head to he emergency clinic to get Woody checked out and get further treatment if needed. https://m.petmd.com/dog/chocolate-toxicity#common_household_items Best of luck to you and Woody!
