My dog's poop changed color & is soft after new food. Is it normal?

I adopted my dog on Friday, I am in the process of transitioning his food. I have noticed that since Friday his poop has changed color and is softer. Could this be due to the food change and treats?

Hello, yes indeed changes in diet may also affect the consistency of the stool. Depending on the new food, this may take some time to improve, or his stools may continue to be softer. This is typically an indication that the new food may have a higher fat content. If his stools do not improve, you may need to switch him back to his old food or try a different food. Hope this helps and best of luck.
