My cat vomits immediately after eating quickly. What can I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed

I was feeding my cats this morning and one of them, halfway through eating her bowl of food, immediately threw it up onto the floor next to it. Both cats have had problems with digesting I think because they eat pretty fast but I’ve never seen her throw up so quickly after eating. My mom has taken them to the vet before to ask about it but they said there wasn’t a problem, but I’m really worried still. I attached a pic of the food she was eating (only half the can).

If you feel that Drift is vomiting from eating too fast, I would recommend getting this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004G9L1H2/ref=asc_df_B004G9L1H25490805/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=394997&creativeASIN=B004G9L1H2&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198073792559&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=208057643142570732&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9003814&hvtargid=pla-315285034490 That way she has to work the food through the maze. If you are feeding wet food I would switch to dry food and see if that helps. I would also recommend a sensitive stomach diet. Thank you for using PetCoach.
