My dog has a growth under her skin on her stomach. What is it?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Lady. She appears to have a mass growing under her skin on her belly. It looks to be associated qith her mammary gland. These masses are more common in dogs that either have not been spayed or were spayed later in life. She should see her veterinarian to see if this is the case. If it is a mammary tumor, about 50% of them are cancerous. I hope this information helps!

    Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Princess. Oh no, that's looks really bad. I'm concerned this a malignant mammary tumor. You cannot treat this at home, you must take her into a vet immediately. Best of luck.
