My cat has a scab. Is it serious, and when should I see a vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 2 years old | 13 lbs

This does look like a scab right should i be concerned. I believe 8 months ago he had a scratch in this area but im not totally sure

This looks like scab, probably from an infection, you will need to wait a few days and see if it seems to be healing or if it is getting worse, in case this is not getting any better you will have to get it checked and treated by your vet.
