My 9-month-old pitbull is sick and won't eat. What can I do to help?

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 49 lbs

I have a 9 month old pitbull that is currently sick I have taken him to the vet twice know they have given me medication for him I don't see that it is working my biggest concern is that he is not eating he has not eat anything in 7 days I have forced him to eat by mixing water with soft food and putting it in his mouth but even that is hard when he dose not feel like eating at all what can I do to get him to eat

I would talk to your vet about giving him an appetite stimulant like entice or mirtazapine. I would also recommend him to have some abdominal x-rays to look for an obstruction. With his age, this would be my biggest concern. If they can't see anything for sure on x-rays they can do a barium study which is where they give him a solution to swallow and as it goes through his GI tract, it highlights it on x-rays. This helps to diagnose a foreign body or an obstruction. Unfortunately, I think there needs to be more diagnostics done to determine WHY he isn't eating. I hope this helps!
