My puppy's eye looks red. Is it cherry eye and what are the symptoms?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 30 lbs

We believe our puppy has cherry eye. I can’t get her to be still long enough to get a picture of it

So, cherry eye is a condition where the gland of the third eyelid is prolapsed. You can put "cherry eye" into your browser and then click on "images" and that wwill give you photos of the condition. Unfortunately, even if the gland is replaced manually, it will likely prolapse again and therefore it should be fixed with surgery.
