Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. The blood you are seeing could be due to irritation / inflammation in the colon. This could be secondary to the diet Smores is currently on, an intestinal parasites, etc. I would recommend changing food to something completely different and see if this helps resolve the bloody stool. You can also add in a probiotic such as Purina Fortiflora, which can be found online quite easily. If the blood in the stool continues despite switching the diet, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Smores so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
