All mammals require water and the amount they require depends on their size. The larger the dog, the higher the water requirement will be. As long as your dog has plenty of access to fresh water he should get all he needs. If you feel like Buddy is drinking excessive amounts of water and/or peeing excessively then he should be checked out by your veterinarian. I hope this helps.
