What's this red rash on my German Shepherd's belly near her vulva?

My German Shepherd has a weird thing on her stomach. Near private part. What is that? Do I need to take her to the vet? Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | 4 months and 4 days old | 6 lbs

I do see the red slightly raised area on the skin near her vulva, and also she has some apparent smaller inflammed areas throughout her belly as well. This presentation can be due to allergies (environmental or food related) or it can be a sign of a fungal or bacterial infection. I would recommend placing a very small amount of Neosporin on it for the next few days, using gloves, but first cleaning the area with Betadine diluted 50:50 with warm water, and then monitoring her. for the next few days. If she seems bothered by it and licks it a lot, then its best to get this checked right away and tested by your vet for the possibilities I mentioned above. I hope that things turn out well for Alivas and her skin condition. Hopefully this is just a mild allergy that will resolve on its own. Best of luck. Take care.
