Pet's info: Dog | American Bulldog | Male | neutered | 1 year and 10 months old | 75 lbs
Hi! So my dog looks like he has a really bad ear infection, and we have taken him to the vet.. they gave us “EcoEars” it’s a cleaner but it’s been really hard to get it deep inside his ear.. we also have wipes but having the same problem. We have managed to give him the cleaner a little but still nothing is working. His eyes gums and in some places of his body are kind of red as well, is there anything you could suggest to help him? It definitely seems to irritate him but unsure what else to do

While your dog’s ears are so inflamed it will be difficult to get them deeply cleaned. For now, and the first few days of treatment just flush the solution into the ear canal and massage at the base of the ear. Then let Cassius shake his head/ears. This will help remove the debris from the lower ear canal. After he has done this you can wipe out the excess cleaner and debris with a soft cloth. If you are not seeing improvement in the ears within about 3 days I would recommend talking to your veterinarian about getting a medicated ear ointment as well. The redness you are noticing all over is normal and probably a result of his generalized inflammation. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
