My dog seems generally anxious. How can I help treat his anxiety?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 2 years and 1 month old

I think my dog has some type of anxiety, It's not separation anxiety he generally just seems anxious, when he was a puppy he's just turned 2, a couple of weeks later, I seperated from my husband and it was me and the 3 dogs, it was a stressful time for everyone what i'm trying to ask is would this have had an effect on him and how can i start to treat it, He's been castrated at 6 months he was a rescue dog very young i was his foster carer and adopted him and he's 1 of 3 dogs he is the youngest

He could have some anxiety issues and you could try an Adaptil collar and see if that helps. I have had good results with the Adaptil collar. Otherwise, your vet could prescribe an anti-anxiety medication, like Prozac or Trazodone which may help the anxiety. http://www.adaptil.com/us/#redirected
