Why does my large dog still have soft stool on Hills I/D food?

70 lb mix breed with soft stool feeding him Hills I/D helps a little but still not normal

He could have an infection, parasite, food allergy, inflammatory bowel disease, etc. You could talk to your vet about switching to a hypoallergenic diet, like z/d or d/d and see if that helps. Also adding a probiotic to his diet, like Fortiflora or Proviable may help. If your vet has not checked a stool sample than it would be a good idea to test a sample to make sure he does not have a parasite. Metronidazole or Tylan powder may also help and your vet could prescribe.
