Oh Fenway! If you think he ate the sock with the last 2-3 hours I recommend taking him to the nearest veterinary hospital to safely induce vomiting. If has been longer I would recommend having x-rays of his belly to 1. confirm or deny ingestion, 2. see where in the digestive track the sock is. There is about a 50/50 chance the sock could pass with no problem or it could cause an obstruction in his digestive track. Unfortunately, once you start seeing signs of illness (i.e. vomiting, unable to keep food down, extreme lethargy, etc) this means an obstruction has likely occurred and would require emergency surgery. Taking him to a veterinary hospital as soon as possible, preferably now, could potentially prevent a much more serious issue. Best of luck to you both.

Because Fenway ate it an hour ago, there's still time to take him into a vet now to have vomiting induced to get the sock out of his stomach. The problem with it is that it can cause an obstruction and that would require surgery to remove if it does. There is a chance it could pass, but you will have to watch him for signs of obstruction that include vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, lethargy, and constipation. Should you see any of those signs, take Fenway into the vet right away.

Most swallowed objects will pass through quite uneventfully but you should monitor him closely for any signs of obstruction (pain, discomfort, reduced appetite, constipation etc) until you know the sock has been passed. Offer small meals often to encourage bowel movement and keep confined so you can monitor the return of the sock

The problem with socks is that they can get caught in the GI tract of the puppy. Given that it was a small one, hopefully it will pass without problem in Kona. You have a few options in this case. You can take him into a vet immediately if he ate the sock within the past two hours. The vet can safely induce vomiting with a shot to get the sock out and prevent any chance of an obstruction occurring. You can also monitor him for the next 72 hours. Signs of obstruction include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, anorexia, and constipation. If you see any of those signs, you will need to take Kona into the vet immediately, and he will need surgery to remove the sock. Hopefully, however, it will pass without problem.

You should get him or her to your veterinarian or to the nearest veterinary ER immediately. Either can induce vomiting via injection to, hopefully, bring up the sock. Left in, the sock poses a serious risk of gastric or intestinal obstruction. Both are emergency situations that may require surgery.
